District heating Göschenen by mountain pipeline
A mountain ridge and a 330-metre difference in altitude separate the two Uri villages of Göschenen and Andermatt. What many people don’t realise is that Göschenen knows how to harness the power of nature to generate energy – and to send heat from renewable energy sources through the mountain.
