The KliK Foundation welcomes the Glasgow Climate Pact

Last week the global leaders adopted the Glasgow Climate Pact! At its 26th meeting the COP has set a landmark that forms the basis for the next decade of joint efforts to fight climate change at a multilateral level. The KliK Foundation had its appearance at the COP and welcomes the adoption of stringent rules that will govern climate change collaboration for the years to come.

The Paris Agreement provides for collaboration between countries under its Article 6. As part of the Glasgow Climate Pact, detailed rules have been adopted to set the modalities for collaboration. The KliK Foundation welcomes the stringent rules that effectively prevent double counting of emission reductions. Switzerland did play an important role in the negotiation of ambitious rules and could bring to bear its frontrunner experience from piloting concrete collaboration.
