The activity takes place in Chile's sugar production industry and plans the replacement of two existing coal-fired boilers with a new biomass boiler using 100% biomass residues from wood industries. This switch enables full decarbonization of steam generation at the IANSAGRO S.A. Ñuble plant.

The investment decision expected in the coming months will establish the basis for bringing the activity to implementation. This is a strong example of how public-private collaboration and carbon markets can deliver valuable climate solutions.
